I have improved upon my Latitude/Longitude Lookup Globe. When someone touches the globe, it still converts the UV coordinates to degrees, minutes, and seconds. However, it now displays the name of a place, country, town, and city. I was able to do this by calling a web service from GeoNames. Large oceans and some locations do not provide any information at all. However, it's really exciting to see the data come back for most land masses. From Dedric Mauriac via bloghud.com
